LAYERED FOUNDRY — TERMS OF SERVICE

Welcome to Layered Foundry. By accessing our website or purchasing products through layeredfoundry.com, you agree to the following Terms of Service. Please review them carefully before placing an order.

1. About Layered Foundry

Layered Foundry is a veteran-owned small business specializing in 3D-printed models, collectibles, and display pieces.

Our products may include fully assembled multicolor prints, hand-finished models, and kits intended for customer assembly, painting, and display.

2. Product Categories

Ready to Deploy (R2D)

R2D products are completed items available for purchase from existing inventory. Availability and fulfillment details are provided in individual product listings.

Predeployment (PRE) — Print to Order

PRE products are manufactured after an order is placed. Depending on the product, fulfillment may require 3D printing, assembly, finishing, inspection, and packaging.

PRE products are not ready-to-ship inventory.

3. Production Times

The estimated production lead time for PRE products is approximately 14 calendar days before shipment.

Actual production times may vary depending on model complexity, production capacity, equipment availability, and other operational factors.

Shipping transit time is additional.

If we cannot ship an order within the promised timeframe, we will notify the customer and provide the opportunity to agree to a revised shipping date or obtain a refund as required by applicable law.

4. Production Capacity

Layered Foundry maintains limited production capacity for PRE orders.

Each PRE product ordered generally reserves one available production slot. Customers may place orders only while sufficient production capacity is available.

Production availability may change as orders are accepted and completed.

5. Pricing and Payment

All prices are listed in U.S. dollars unless otherwise indicated.

Payment is required through an available checkout payment method when placing an order.

Applicable taxes and shipping charges are calculated during checkout.

Layered Foundry reserves the right to correct pricing errors, reject fraudulent transactions, or cancel orders that cannot be fulfilled. Payments collected for orders canceled by Layered Foundry will be refunded as required by law.

6. Cancellations and Refunds

PRE orders may be canceled for a full refund before production begins.

Once production has started, cancellations may be subject to a charge of up to 50% of the product purchase price to recover reasonable, documented, non-recoverable production expenses, subject to applicable law.

This is not an automatic cancellation penalty.

Refunds and cancellations are governed by our separately published Return and Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

Nothing in these Terms limits any refund rights provided by applicable law.

7. Shipping and Local Pickup

Layered Foundry currently offers shipping within the United States through available shipping carriers.

Shipping rates are calculated during checkout based on applicable shipment details.

Eligible customers may choose free local pickup at our designated Grovetown, Georgia meeting location.

Local pickup is by appointment only. Customers must wait until Layered Foundry confirms that their order is ready and a meeting time has been arranged.

8. Product Appearance and Characteristics

Due to the nature of 3D printing and hand-finishing, minor variations in surface finish, layer visibility, color appearance, and other cosmetic characteristics may occur.

Such variations do not automatically indicate a product defect. However, products must conform to their descriptions and applicable consumer protection requirements.

Product dimensions, weights, and other specifications may be identified as estimates, particularly for first-edition prints.

Customers should review individual product descriptions before purchasing.

Unless expressly identified otherwise, our collectible models are intended for display rather than use as children's toys.

9. Intellectual Property

Layered Foundry respects the intellectual property rights of designers, manufacturers, and other rights holders.

Certain products are manufactured from designs created by third-party artists and are sold under applicable physical-model sales licenses.

Purchasing a physical model does not transfer ownership of the underlying digital design or any associated intellectual property.

Third-party characters, trademarks, names, and designs remain the property of their respective rights holders. Unless expressly stated, Layered Foundry is not affiliated with or endorsed by those rights holders.

Layered Foundry's original website content, photographs, branding, and other original materials may not be reproduced commercially without authorization, except as permitted by law.

10. Customer Responsibilities

Customers agree to provide accurate checkout, shipping, and contact information.

Customers are responsible for reviewing product specifications, production estimates, and applicable policies before ordering.

Customers must not use our website for fraudulent transactions, unauthorized access, or unlawful activities.

11. Website Availability

We may update product listings, adjust availability, perform maintenance, or temporarily suspend website functionality when necessary.

We strive to maintain accurate listings and reliable services but cannot guarantee uninterrupted website availability.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Layered Foundry is not responsible for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the website or products.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be limited or restricts customers' statutory rights.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by applicable laws of the State of Georgia and the United States, without limiting mandatory consumer protection rights that may apply.

14. Changes to These Terms

Layered Foundry may update these Terms to reflect changes in our products, operations, or legal obligations.

Updated Terms will be posted on our website with a revised effective date. Changes will not retroactively reduce rights associated with existing orders where prohibited by law.
